Here's
an interesting discussion of Polanski and his great movie, 'Chinatown,' as it relates to the rape and the current controversy.
One thing which I find interesting is the fact that the focus is not so much on the fact that he raped her as that she was 'underage.' I find that really twisted. I don't see (obviously she was physically mature) where that should be an issue at all if there was consent or desire on her part. He appears to have forced her against multiple expressions of rejection from her. THAT, it seems to me, should be the issue, and yet it appears that that is almost of no consequence in this case. Twisted, really twisted.
