Quote:Dear Parent Blamer,

Firstly let me say, stop it.

Writing 002

It’s pathetic and pointless. And for the rest of us innocent bystanders… very annoying.

To be completely honest, we’re sick of your whining, your complaining, your anger, your victim mentality and your inability to see that your current attitude (not some historical event) is your biggest problem. We’re also sick of ...

I thought I'd drop a line to LiMi and Conrad et al. to say that I'm still around and daily look at my icon to LiMi and scratch my chinny chin chin. I really really miss the brotherhood and sisterhood we had coming out of FDR, even though I was a bit late to rejoin the exodus, having taken a more direct exodus of unplugging altogether. I felt we shared something remarkable and feel it to this day frankly. Its too rare that people free themselves from the argument from authority (which is what ...

Here's some interesting talk about the revelations of utterly criminal malfeasance with climate data over the last many years. If I recall correctly, someone here made some very disparaging remarks about the honest scientists at Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. Now that the truth is starting to come out you may want to rethink your politically correct assumptions.

most of this econtalk interview with Paul Graham is about how he invests in startup companies (which in itself is very interesting) but near the end they also briefly talk about the article Graham wrote a couple of years ago about advice to high school students. I'd read that a couple of years ago, but was glad to be reminded. It's a great essay. if you know an intelligent kid in high school, send him this essay and let him treat high school as a dayjob!

They seem to equate it with being open, curious, respectful, non-judgmental, taking your cues in a conversation from your conversation partner, paying attention to the emotional dimension of the conversation and people's responses, at times when necessary pausing and asking what is going on for both of you, how you are experiencing things, and so on.

A couple of things I came across very recently, odd how many times I have kind of randomly come across Stirner in the past three months:

-This is a full transcript of a book entitled "Egoists: A Book of Supermen", by notable American music critic and musician James Huneker:

The book does a wonderful job of summing up biographies and thoughts/art of various continental egoists.

I keep making little observations about FDR, or people tell me about their own observations and I think they're cool but I don't feel like making some big article about it. Or sometimes I've written little bits buried in long-winded articles that could stand on their own.

So this might be a new feature on fdrliberated. Or not.

As always, opinions cheerfully accepted.

I've finally put the pieces together on this. It turns out that AIDS propagandists are just like some of the global warming scientists: They've already decided what's true and they viciously attack anyone who even dares to ask an intelligent question about the validity of their so-called science.

Letter to Stefan Molyneux from a Defooed Parent

Dear Stefan Molyneux,

Our child left us because of your encouragement and advice. I am still confused about the whole thing. My child did not have that open discussion about their unhappiness in our family. I still would like to know the reasons why our child left. You encourage troubled youths to talk to members of their family. This one did not. But, later I learned that you also encourage them to not talk to the family because ...

Pretty funny watching them ...

question to the cult experts or informed laypersons: what is the natural progression of cults? are there regularities in development at all? how long do they last? what typically ends them?

Aiming high through performance evaluation

I came across this snippet in the papers today. I wonder how Moly boy would react to this study?

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/140646/Lesbians-are-best-mums-

I would be even more interested to know, assuming that the study is correct, why would ladies, both young and old, bow down to the man given that Moly blames Mum's for a whole host of abuse.?

Why would you do that? especially as it is likely that you may well become a Mum yourself one day, indeed some of you may all ready be.

As Nelle has said 'Parents never really stop loving their kids' you have nothing to lose by contacting home or even just other family members.

How can you gain from getting back together and what will that feel like?
