He's actually answered the question in that thread. If his daughter comes out wrong, he'll revise his whole theory. He'd have to, because he wouldn't have unwittingly made any mistakes raising her, so the theory would have been wrong.

it is an interesting choice he has to make at a moment like that: seeing himself as being right intellectually or as being right morally.

I think you're missing the obvious, third possibility. Like so many parents before him, he can simply deny that there is anything amiss with his child in the first place.

Failing that, he (again, like so many other parents) will blame external influences, such as friends, school, etc.

There is some evidence that neurology and peer-influences are far more formative in children's personality and behaviour than anything parents do. Which is probably a good thing.
