I bought it as a used paperback on Amazon.com and it was $15.00. I don't know if it's available in other formats but because it's so (relatively) expensive and all my searches have only ever resulted in the '74 edition, I'm guessing an e-book i s not available yet.

How I Found Freedom... is a must read book. Period. It's a shame it's out of print. I'm pleased to see that it's apparently available as an eBook, as I can think of no single book of more value. Really. I was able to get Harry to autograph my 1974 paperback edition for me, and tattered and yellowing though it is, it has immense value. - NonE

a lot of us have exes and I am here to tell you, the advice to wrest whatever control you can and be philosophical about the rest is great--think of it this way--as long as you are pissed, the ex is winning control over your mood still!!!!!!! YOU are not in charge of your life until you are in control of your mood--never let the ex win a battle for control of your frame of mind. Been there, made that mistake a lot. Let me tell you, it required letting go of more than 50,000, but it was worth it! I totally win. I woulda rather won and had the money, but better to have my sanity and no money than be pissed all the time and have the money. This aspect of freedom (unlike political freedom) is in your mind.

DocKira, That is SO MUCH the philosophy Harry Browne espoused in How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World. I wonder if you knew that as you typed it. It is almost exactly his entire philosophy. But he applies it to all of life. - NonE

I read Harry years ago, but to be frank, it was Sherwin Wine (an atheist Rabbi) who wrote "Staying Sane in a Crazy World" and Al Ellis, "Guide to Rational Living" that taught me more recently. (sadly, both of them died last summer) Plus, it happens I am a good therapist and this makes me better at LIFE since I get to look objectively at the mistakes folks make and how it affects them.....remember, anger at someone uses up YOUR energy, not theirs! It distracts YOU from setting new goals. Never let the other guy win control over YOUR life unless he has that GUN pointed at you.

| I'm really looking forward to reading this book. Thanks for the link Moe. _________________ If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
