I guess I'd like to see him try to develop his ideas in a way that responded to my objections, even if that meant changing some elements in his account. I've been really wrong about a whole lot of things I've believed in the past, and I'm sure I'm still wrong about a lot of stuff.

Don't say that Danny. Don't let them get you down! Believe in yourself, gosh darn it.

The point is not to insist that your ideas are right in the face of all objections; the point is to take criticism in stride and to adjust your views when you find them to be untenable. For better or worse, Stefan's voice is one that a lot of people listen to; he has like a million times more influence than me, for example. So it would be great to see him engaging with the rest of the philosophical community and participating in an honest and open discussion about libertarian ethics and ideas. I guess that's all the response I would want.

good points and that is exactly the response you won't be getting. Stef only debates in situations he can control. The outside world not so much...

Haha I'm not down on myself. If I knew everything there was to know, there wouldn't be much left to accomplish besides telling everyone else. I find the gaps in my knowledge to be exciting; I know I'm probably not right about everything I believe, and in some areas I'm not even sure what to believe in the first place. That's what keeps me interested!

I listened to the interview on his site. He touted his web site as a "Canadian success story". Really? Mr. Molyneux define success if you would be so kind. Then in the same breath if you could define what it is to be Canadian or to be part of a nation it would be appreciated. It would seem your site defies Countries/borders and the governments that outline the rules and laws with in those confines. Isn't this just a little hypocritical to appeal to a nation you so despise.

I think that was #105. Brilliant.

I know this guy in Canada who has that exact problem.

If it makes you feel better, Danny, I agree with you; I think you're wrong about all sorts of things.
