Zebra, I wasn't the one to bring up reptilians first; I think it was Bigus Dickus here who first mentioned lizard people.

Because I care about the reptoid conspiracy a whole lot, and because I'm a huge geek with an often lame sense of humor, I immediately noticed a connection between Stefan and the conspiracy. Stefan speaks in his book about "Slaying the dragon" in reference to displacing the ideology which leads to domination by the state. And according to the reptoid conspiracy, the governments of the world are controlled by reptillian shapeshifters; clearly this is what Stefan was referring to!

I immediately expressed my concerns through a hypothetical litigation in another thread:

Quote:
Clearly, Mr. Swinkles is a bloodthirsty lizard-person who has shape-shifted to take the form of a dog, as evidenced in his picture on the forum. His attacks on Mr. Molyneux are sure signs of an Illuminati scheme to maintain control of society for our statist masters. Through his discussion of "slaying dragons" to bring down the State, Molyneux demonstrates that he is aware of the reptilian nature of our overlords, and that's why Koen is trying to stop him. Don't let Mr. Swinkles get control of you with his sinister mind control techniques! Delete his website immediately -- before it's too late!

Sincerely,

Not a dedicated follower of Stefan Molyneux

P.S. Obviously you should infer nothing suspicious from the obvious pattern of similar complaints you've received recently about this site, after it had been operating for a long period of time without generating any objections.

The rest of the story should be apparent from reading through this thread.

Did Molyneux actually believe in Lizard conspiracies, though? That seems hard to believe.

From the way Bigus phrased his post, he seemed to suggest that one or more of Stefan's followers (not Stefan) believed in the reptoid conspiracy. I'm not sure where that suggestion comes from, though.

A quick search through FDR posts turns up a few threads mentioning the reptilians, but none in which the idea is being taken seriously:

Ah, it was just a reference to that dominican guy Victor, I remember him saying that he believed in reptiles before joining FDR... don't remember the thread though.

Of course Molyneux is not responsible for what his current followers have thought in the past, for sure. I remember it mostly because, that's one of the many things that would stick out for me when I used to participate in FDR: how messed up so many of his followers and talk-in-show guests were.

Stepping over the lizards for a moment - not sure if it's been mentioned before, the print version of the Globe and Mail article last weekend had a slightly different title, shown on the website with some quotes at the end.

STEFAN MOLYNEUX: THE MISSISSAUGA MAN BEHIND FREEDOMAIN RADIO
How a GTA cyber-philosopher convinced followers to cut off family

The original links to the Globe and Mail article seem to be broken. Try this one instead:

Otherwise, go to the Globe and Mail site and search on Molyneux.

Thanks Patience. There is some excellent information in that article, which seems a little more detailed than the original.
