What a bizarrely revealing response from Stefan, hug and all. DanielOR just proved that his parents never attacked him for making a mistake and that he had a relatively normal childhood.
How Stefan got anything else out of that is completely beyond me. |

| Stef's response is such a quasi-sophsticated chilling and total insult to Daniel it is not even funny anymore. camouflaged as outreach. sickening. he deserves somebody projectile-vomiting on him. |

It's from RTR. Because of abuse, you grow up attracted to the thing you feared as a child. If you were rejected you seek rejection. If you were verbally abused, you gravitate to verbal abusers.
Simon became a boxer because he was physically abused. I think it's all Alice Miller stuff that Stefan is putting his own stamp on. |

| Stef just does not hear what others say. He is utterly blind to any experience different from his own. No matter the shape of the peg, he beats it into that hole of his. :sigh: _________________ Please check out my blog! Dylboznia |

| you can feel both the strong anger and sadness in her posts. sadness for what FDR could have been, a wonderful positive philosophical and personal community, something that could have been a sort of home on the internet. that is also what the posts that Stef relocated (and then removed?) was about. and anger for what FDR has become I think a lot of people here, incl. myself had similar sorts of feelings once, right before or after our breaks with FDR. it's just such a friggin' shame. they just fucking blew it... |

| sorry, actually it was only one post. since DTomboy now on FDR mentions the posts and says that they're inaccessible I reckon that she doesn't mind the post being talked about: she basically said that some things Stef said in EveryDay Anarnchy really touched her, made her cry and feel like Stef did understand her and where she was coming from (Stef described basically the plight of free-thinkers in our current society), but that the vibe coming from the board is so different from the one in podcasts and the book, and that she doesnt experience the board as a welcoming place, that she feels put under pressure to be perfect in some way. and she can't seem to connect, make sense of her wanting to be part of FDR and not feeling part of it for abovementioned reasons she basically expressed the impossiblity of the situation that is FDR: its promise and its actuality (my words though) |

| jsut wanted to say hi to all and make a quick response to the thoughts this thread created for me. I think it is a very bad thing for Stef et al to censor post for the reason that people often won't gain clarity if the discussion is killed (even the FDR-anatics might find out they disagree with some things if that happens). BTW, I followed Mr. Lizzard over here, although I have a different handle so as to stay incognito for a while. I'm finding the information here to be interesting. |
