You know what? This also means that I stopped stonewalling certain people in my life that FDR had convinced me I should defoo (after feeling myself what it felt like). I'm so glad that I stopped that horrible behavior. I am in the process of healing broken relationships that I almost permanently destroyed. Here's hoping that others will wake up (it has felt like a waking up process) and do the same!

I don't know if this totally applies, but I think it's relevant. Here is my latest writing at Strike-the-Root regarding my own hypocrisy and other stuff of interest (or not).

NonE: I enjoyed the article, it was humble, conversational and overall an enjoyable read! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks, Exy. As to the humble part, hey, I've gotta screw up ONCE in a while! ;-)

I can say that deFDRing is not easy. There are the FDR friends who will probably never forgive me. Then there are the family members who I defoo'd who I now want to try to seek forgiveness from. There are a lot of fences to try to mend, and that is not an easy road.

I have learned so much by reading this site over the past couple of days. I only wish that I would have read all of this before meeting up with SM and FDR. Great info. Thank you.

It's all a process, nelle. Welcome and enjoy the journey. Maybe without Stef you would not have found out things which you now find of value. Who knows?

There is some kind of Zen thinking which sorta says that (and I will paraphrase this REALLY badly) the pain is not inherent in the thing, but is only a result of our unwillingness to accept it.

Welcome back to the world. I hope your friend will follow you back one day.

Now when you are posting here, you are probably banned from his site. So deFDRing shouldn't be a problem.

Hey Nelle,
If there are FDR friends that will 'never forgive you' then they probably were never really your friends. As for the family members, if they truly would like you back in their lives you probably all ready know that it is OK to go back to them. Perhaps if you are fearful to approach them you could meet up with them on neutral ground or at a place where have you shared happy memories, just to help break the ice.
Either way you choose to go I wish you the best of luck. Seeing how you are 'alienated' from all these people suggest if you haven't all ready done so, make contact the ET way, just 'phone home Nelle, just 'phone home.
Still worried about FDR? what is the worst that could happen? Steff not talking to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Nelle,

You might be surprised how far a simple, "I'm sorry" will go.

Thank you all so much. I really appreciate such support right now. It is nice to find a place where I don't have to be nervous about every word that comes out of my mouth. I am sorry for so much. I hope that will help with the healing process.
