God bless LiMi...
(PS, to the literal-minded, the above number is made up. You know you want to ask...) |
Nice work Conrad! A kind word from the Stef-bot.
He's expressing his appreciation for your getting us pesky challengers of orthodoxy off his borad...
You know, he calls us trolls (pronounced incorrectly, like it rhymes with dolls), but no one here, with the possible exception of Free Radical, was ever abusive or intentionally disruptive on FDR. Just persistent in arguing our position or challenging Stef's baseless assertions, dismissive sarcasm, logical fallacies, appeals to authority, outright lies or his sycophant's piling on. Oh well...
Just thought it was pretty funnny. |

| I didn't read that thread. I'm proud of myself for reading and listening to almost nothing from FDR now. Do you think it's a good idea to invite that 16 year old kid here? |

| I don't know, the kid was pretty quick to knuckle under. Looks like he's pretty keen on being accepted over there, so maybe not. |

How about when you said "WTF are you talking about??"

Ah, OK. I didn't know he succumbed. |

That's not abusive. I think it's "pretty funny" that Dylboz speaks of "challenging Stef's baseless assertions," straight after making one himself. |

He did say "possible exception" That means its debatable doesn't it? | It's still baseless. And I know that I was never abusive on FDR.

| Yeah I meant Mike. I guess he didn't give an example. I stand corrected. If you mean baseless as in not put forth we are in total agreement. Whether he has some base he feels supports his word is totally unknown. Key word there is 'feels'. I'm including both subjective and objective. The differentiation can go in a new thread. |

| To Free Radical: It said "possible exception" AND "abusive or intentionally disruptive" meaning either of the two and that I'm not "casting aspersions" on you, it was clearly not an authoritatively declarative sentence. There were times I got the impression you were hijacking threads or stirring stuff up, but I could be wrong or thinking of someone else (Putty Tat? Are you one and the same?). Anyway, my intention was not at all to say anything negative about you, so sorry if it came off that way. |

| It wasn't so bad in my opinion. But why did he owe Nathan an apology? He justs asked for clarification of the point. Oh and I apologize to everyone now for commenting. I am using you all to allow for my personal value. But isn't that the whole point of asking a question or commenting? Aye ye yie! |

| There, don't you feel better now? From now on, all posts should come with a preemptive apology, just in case feelings are inadvertently hurt. Seriously though, there was nothing really wrong with the original post in that thread, but at the end I was thinking pretty much what Kingdom Fall said. Soooo...what? On a site where examining possible theoretical inconsistencies is so often deemed to be poor use of valuable time, what are we to make of some guy's random musings about the possible meaning of four lines in an obscure Rush tune? Mostly, what struck me as strange was the awarding of "black belt" for the martial arts equivalent of ganging up and clubbing a kid for his lunch money. |
