I was at the hospital all day monday. I have a bruised, infected knee cap. I need antibiotics. They gave me iv bags.
Here was my major problem. They were forcing me to buy room and board for 4-5 nights at monopolistic prices to get more iv bags instead of oral antibiotics which are not as strong.
I asked why I should. Give me one positive reason and they couldn't. They only answered that my leg might get infected in the joint but they have no reason to suspect it. As much evidence as Iraq was about to have a nuclear bomb pointed at the USA.
I am currently taking the oral while figuring out how to purchase day visits to get the iv bag antibiotics.

Would they allow you to sign a waiver and let you self administer.
You could attach the bags once you were home.
Is there a clinic that has that sort of policy, ie: do you have to get the antibiotics from them? I believe they can give you a prescription and your file info so you are free to do so.
