Weird message from FDR

I was never offically banned from FDR, so now and then I get emails from it (the mass emails and topic notifications). But I open my email today and there's an email from "Freedomain Radio - Automated Email" with the topic "New Friend Request(s) on Freedomain Radio". It read as follows:

You have friendships that are awaiting confirmation at Freedomain Radio
Please visit the My Friends page of your profile to approve these requests.

Say what? Is FDR the new Myspace/Facebook? I know there are a few not banned exFDRers here; did y'all get such messages?

Theres a thread on FDR called Friends asking the same thing. It appears every member received it from the responses.
I am guessing that sooner or later the answer will be posted there. Not sure if they will tell you if it is to make FDR more like Facebook though.

I got the message as well... odd, considering that I am apparently banned. Never got a notice though, so I figure that Stef didn't keep notes or compare lists before turning on the new feature, whatever it is.

I received one as well, and when I went to log in to see what it was about, was not allowed to log in--far as I know, I had not been banned.....we will see if Stef replies to my query

I followed the link in the email and was taken to some that seemed to be asking for donations. There was a quote to the effect of: "Donaters get more at FDR!" I assumed it was some new donation only feature.
