So up here in Canada at Zeb's place we have two computers, one with internet access and one without (too difficult to install, too slow (both computer plus internet)). Zebra uses the one with internet access and I the one without, so that I only get like an hour and a half or so of internet time a day (on Zeb's computer). And I'm liking it an awful lot, no more mindless surfing, checking e-mail every 5 minutes, etc. etc.
Now I go online, know what I need to get, then get it, then chill for a short while (browse some blogs, post some posts), and then I'm off again. Thas made me significantly more productive with few downsides. One downside is that there truly are some fantastic sites with worthwhile stuff every day and I don't get to really read everything I might want to read blog-wise (Glenn Greenwald, EconomicPolicyJournal, BobMurphy, LRC, Mises, ArtDiamond, Peter Boettke, Peter Klein), but at this point the gain in productivity outweighs the loss in immediate pleasure
