| You won't need fancy computers and video cards anymoreI was listening to an interview about this with some gaming expert and he was quite excited and said what I think was very apt: the idea seems so incredibly obvious but up until last week hardly anybody had ever thought of it See here for a CNET article about it and here for another article Just think of how this would revolutionize the business, bypassing Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, making much more processor-demanding video-games possible, saving on the costs of developing games for different platforms |

I don't play games as much as I used to (though I do play them frequently enough). Too bad it'd be so reliant on internet connections. |

| I don't think the problem was that nobody ever thought of it. I think the problem was (and still is) that nobody sees how you could possibly make it work. The issue of latency, when you're trying to run a real-time system, is a colossal hurdle. I'm still skeptical, myself; Rather just take these guys' words for it, I'll wait to see how it really works in practical, everyday situations. |

| I'm a little skeptical too... they might show some convincing videos of the system working, but you can't really know how it feels -if it lags or not- until you play it yourself. Furthermore, there has to be some monster machine somewhere in the world, so Idoubt it could be cheap. |
