| F.E.E. has just released an audiobook version of I, Pencil in honor of it's 50th anniversary*. Enjoy. - NonE * note I didn't say 50th year anniversary. BTW, does anyone know the proper term (if one exists) for "month"iversary? It just bugs the shit out of me when I hear someone say "we just celebrated our 3 month anniversary." |

| You know, I have no problem with Leonard Read's one and only contribution to libertarian literature, but I have to wonder who this is directed towards. Most of us who would give a flying fuck what Lenny thinks about anything (or even know who he is) have already read real economics books.
Edit: To clarify, I mean to whom works like "I, Pencil" are directed. |

It seems if you find in proper the tracing of a word's etymology, then "monaoversary" is your word; per the etymology: | The Online Etymology Dictionary wrote: | anniversary: c.1230, from L. anniversarius "returning annually," from annus "year" (see annual) + versus, pp. of vertere "to turn" (see versus) month: O.E. monaš, from P.Gmc. *męnoth- (O.N. manašr, M.Du. manet, Du. maand, O.H.G. manod, Ger. Monat, Goth. menožs "month"), related to *męnon- "moon" (see moon). Its cognates mean only "month" in the Romance languages |
Exercise that author+ity, dude! After all, how else did "we" end up with the AEnglish "anniversary" to start with (annus to annual etc)?! It seems logical, etymologically speaking, to even go with monthiversary. [or acquiesce to popular/anarchy refining/redefining/historical usage and leave it at monthly anniversary; after all, the "annus" = "year" consists of "months", aye?]

| Hmm. I'm kinda likin' the idea of blood. Monaoversary is so clean, even if it does have that subtle smile which has bewitched viewers over the ages.
I'll have to ponder on this.
