| ...but I finally got banned from Mises.org forums. I haven't been given an official reason, not that I care that much. It's just kind of funny to me that the consistent trolls will probably never get banned, because they accept the word of Our Saviour Rothbard. Getting banned from Mises isn't quite as fun as getting banned from FDR, though, because I never directly made the staff look like idiots. |

Does any of the Mises staff regularly participate in their own forum? |

| Does any of the Mises staff regularly participate in their own forum? Not really. Walter Block tried, once, and a bunch of trolls jumped on him. |

| Do you have a link to that? I'm sort of curious now. |

Um, I don't care enough to figure out how to search, but it was a post he made on Malcolm X. |

| Vichy booted from a libertarian forum. Deja deja vu.
did they give a reason? perhaps in the follow up to the banning rather than at the actual banning?
I think Jeff Tucker posts somewhat regularly on the Mises forum, no?
And George Selgin has posted on it. |

| I was reading an article by Mike Shermer earlier, which reminded me of the Mises board: http://www.michaelshermer.com/2007/01/long-love-affairs-with-libertarianism/Another disturbing theme running throughout the libertarian movement, so well recounted by Mr. Doherty, is the sense that we are absolutely right. Absolute certainty generates absolute intolerance. One would think, for example, that Randian Objectivists would embrace other libertarians. But no, like the Baptists and Anabaptists, who warred over whether baptism should be implemented at birth or in adulthood, some of Rand’s biggest battles were fought not with socialists but with fellow libertarians. |

Which is funny, because I'm a left-wing reactionary. |

Yes, far too many hardcore religionists. I suspect that vichy's banning might have had something to do with lingering resentment over her rejection of religion. It always seemed to me announcing that you're an atheist is a good way to get the cold shoulder at Mises.com._________________ Please check out my blog! Dylboznia |

| Well, they're just as dogmatic, doctrinaire and obtuse as the Catholics. It'd be easy to mistake them for one another. _________________ Please check out my blog! Dylboznia |

| I find it really funny when the creationists jump into the forum, to excoriate Darwinistic Atheism for the evils of socialism. I like how they ignore the thousands of years of sub-subsistance living that was characterized by a near-universal religosity. |
