| Above Quotes: The 'taser' of the emerging police state? I think so. These laws always sound reasonable until they are applied and then mis-applied. Just like the taser. One passage from the article that I wonder about: | Quote: | (Government price controls)
The attorney general, in consultation with the office of consumer affairs and business regulation, and upon the declaration by the governor that a supply emergency exists, shall take appropriate action to ensure that no person shall sell a product or service that is at a price that unreasonably exceeds the price charged before the emergency. |
Hasn't there often been something like this on the books to prevent blatant war profiteering? I'm thinking that after a few wars, especially the Civil War, there were some price controls set into law that were similar to this... but my history is fuzzy.
Doesn't make it right, but does make it 'not new' especially. The rest though is troubling... _________________ If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Furthermore, when the commissioner or a local public health authority within its jurisdiction determines that either or both of the following measures are necessary to prevent a serious danger to the public health the commissioner or local public health authority may exercise the following authority: (1) to vaccinate or provide precautionary prophylaxis to individuals as protection against communicable disease... |
Here's what I don't get about vaccination hysteria; if they are effective, then why is anyone who choses not to get one a danger to people who do get a vaccination?
I'm still convalescing from a really nasty flu, it may or may not have been swine flu. At first I thought it was but there have been some other nasty flues around this winter (southern hemisphere). I hope it was the swine flu because that way I will have immunity.
I didn't get tested because the last place I wanted to be when sick was around other sick people who may have made me even sicker. Surely lying in bed is the best "quarantine." |

| Not everyone is eligible for vaccinations, sometimes because of age (like babies), or immune deficiencies, or allergies to eggs (which the vaccines are grown in). They are vulnerable to the diseases that unvaccinated-by-choice people can bring in. Plus, once in a while vaccines don't take, and even vaccinated people can get sick. If everyone who is physically able to get vaccinated does, an entire population pretty much becomes immune to a disease getting established in the first place, which protects the people who can't be vaccinated. If we are lucky and everyone who can get vaccinated for a disease does, like with smallpox, we can eradicate that disease entirely. We almost had polio eradicated worldwide, and then several years ago there was that tragic misinformation about the polio vaccine being really just a shot that sterilized Muslim men, and the vaccine became illegal in some African countries and spurned by Muslim leaders (and thus refused by their flocks) in others. It set back the eradication effort at least a decade, and now thousands and thousands of people will be crippled and many of them will die who just didn't have to.
Measles is coming back in the United States because of large groups of people refusing the vaccine lately. It doesn't have to. People who refuse the vaccine are automatically potential carriers, who can catch a disease somewhere and then bring it home, where it can spread to vulnerable people. That's why there is a hysteria over it. You may not be likely to die from whooping cough if you are generally robust and unvaccinated, but somewhere nearby is a baby or old person or someone HIV positive or a cancer survivor who could. Even measles kills people. |

| So do you all believe in this conspiracy theories? I don't know I think... Some say conspiracy theories and people like Alex Jones shouldn't be listened to, because they aren't credible.. Others say, this is what is truly happening, we are learning the "truth" _________________ Live for every day |
