QuestEon, your writing just keeps getting better. FDR's powers of relentless obfuscation are no match for your clarity and it was fun to read too.

Two things, I really prefer "backlash" to "lashback." The former is, I believe, the standard construction, hence the latter sounds awkward. But, enough with the nitpicking, and on to item two.

bake is a female? I was under the impression bake was male. bake is here, right? Has anyone asked what his/her gender is?

Other than that, superior, as always. I'm still enjoying it, and will have more to say later. Love the new site graphics, too.

Good job! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next part. Few things that came up for me:

The new site took an exceptionally long time to load for me. It did this when I tried a few hours ago, as well. It could be something on my end; I haven't put any time into trying to figure out why. But has anyone else experienced the same issue?

Quote:
Of course, as Allison said much earlier, such black-and-white logic isn’t possible in the real world. There could be a wide variety of reasons why Allison feels she needs to nag Vince. Many of the board members, including Molyneux, begin to focus on this one incident and the argument drags on over the next several pages of the thread.

Was the bold supposed to be "Jennifer"? That was my first instinct, although looking at it again, I see how a case could be made for the second interpretation. Just wanted to bring it up because the two options do produce rather different meanings!

I'm female. I didn't bother to correct incorrect pronouns on FDR. QuestEon did ask which pronouns to use.

I'll be damned. I thought that was an actual word! I'm surprised NonE hasn't had me executed. Fixed.

Me, for one. I don't think it's the site (that is, the new design) but the server. There were times yesterday when the server was completely off-line, so I think they've been having problems. I'm keeping an eye on it.

If I were Molyneux, I could make a podcast right now clarifying why you misinterpreted everything. But it's just me so I'll have to confess it's just a huge typo. Thanks for finding it! Fixed.

Now I have to come up with a different voice in my head for reading your posts.

I've done that before with assumptions on other forums in the past.

I'm glad you didn't correct, as it probably would have made for another insulting diversion.

Hey QuestEon,

How's the rest of "Allison's Last Card" coming along?

Hoping for the next installment,

I wish I could be faster! It takes a while to make sure my facts are straight. Then it takes a while to write something. When I'm done, it just sucks. So it takes me forever to edit until I get to a point where I don't hate it so much.

And then, voila!

Reminds me of a quote from someone about writing. It goes something like this: Writing is easy. You just stare at a blank sheet of paper until beads of blood form on your forehead..."

QuestEon,

I actually did go over to your latest post and start reading it. I must say, I agree with the praise everyone has given you for your writing. Kudos! But I also was not able to read more than about a third of it because, well, I just don't give a flying fuck about that sick bastard and those who so desperately want his approval. It's abuse, pure and simple, and why wallow in it. S&M, as it were.
