Zeb and I were listening to a Leonard Cohen song last night, 'Hallelujah' and it dawned on me that that word is one of the most beautiful, intrinsically transcendental words in our languages.
One of Nick Cave's most beautiful songs is also called
"Hallelujah" and in both the Cohen and the Cave song when they sing "Hallelujah" it is sort of an acknowledgement of the Higher, they stop using words and just sing the word and it's all they can do and it seems intrinsically meaningful although or exactly
because it is utterly impossible to explain or describe what is meant by it.
(like when frogs rain from the sky in Magnolia. it doesnt
explain anything, but it expresses
something, something inexpressable)
I guess what I'm saying is, to hell with all of you nihilist atheists!
(yeah, yeah, I'm not religious either, nor an agnostic or whatever. I am
this I guess)
