Admittedly having no conclusion on this issue either way, I have to say my hunch is that Mr. Easterbrook's position seems the more likely simply because of what I see as a key (signaling?) label change of "global warming" to "climate change' (coupled with seeing how in the '70's they used "ice age"-- and why wasn't that "global cooling"? Ok, why ask 'why?"?).

My part of the globe has been getting decidedly cooler for the last month or more. I'm scared. Is this the end? Will I be an ice cube by mid-July?

if "climate change" worked out to be the '70's "ice age" meets the '00's "global warming" (sort of a Godzilla meets King Kong?) and the result is neither extreme and instead, milder winters AND summers!?!

And wouldn't it be sumpin' if Mother Nature is indeed a Mother (rather than a cult of the family muther) and had this in Her evolution purse all along, in her infinite wisdom sending this climate change right about the time us children were wrapping up energy resources for heating and cooling!? (it'd have to be doG, if bodyAny...)
